Freight Services: Reefer, Flatbed, Dry Van
Refrigerated, flatbed, step deck, dry van, expedited, oversize, LTL and warehousing, quoted in-house and run on our own fleet in all 48 states.
Our fleet hauls it first. A verified network covers the rest.
A fleet of more than 150 tractors and trailers of our own, family owned since 2004, refrigerated first, then flatbed and dry van. One accountable name prices the load, decides whether it rides our own equipment, and books it. One answer, one accountable name, one rate confirmation.
Then flatbed and dry van, oversize and project behind them

Temperature freight moves on our own reefer fleet first.
Continuous set point on temperature freight, securement specified on the tender for open deck, permits filed before the truck moves.
The freight behind
the trailer count.
Temperature freight rides our own reefers first. Data center and medical equipment runs as project freight, air-ride and no-touch, scheduled to the install window.
Where legal ends,
and permits begin.
Cross any one of these and the load needs a permit, and possibly escorts or a route survey. Knowing which side of the line you are on changes the quote, the lead time and the delivery date you can promise.
The lane runs wherever
the freight needs to go.
Our own equipment, dispatched around the clock
Three offices, Vancouver WA, Sacramento CA and Austin TX; the 24/7 desk answers from anywhere. The freight itself delivers in all 48 states, on our own fleet first and a verified network past it.
On a permitted move that means the whole route gets permitted before you commit to a delivery date, not the first leg first and the rest later.
Our own trucks, and a lane that runs wherever the freight needs to go.
Domestic truckload, delivery in all 48 states.
Every service, quoted in-house. No handoff to another desk.
Continuous set point, not cycle-sensing, written on the rate confirmation. Excursion procedure agreed before the truck rolls, not argued after.
Flatbed and step deck
Steel, pipe, machinery and building products. Tarps, coil racks, chains and edge protection specified on the tender instead of discovered at the dock.
Dry van truckload
The volume base. 53-foot air-ride vans, food-grade when the commodity needs it, drop trailers on recurring lanes once we know how the dock runs.
Warehousing, cross-docking, transloading, distribution and white glove handling, anchored by our own warehouse and cross-dock in Vancouver WA.
Time-critical shipments that cannot wait. Team and solo options, around-the-clock monitoring, and windows quoted against the legal transit.
Oversize and permitted heavy haul
Route survey, state permits, escorts and superload filings. We quote the permit cost off the actual route and tell you the lead time before you commit to a date.
Project and capex freight
Fab tooling, switchgear, chillers and data-center equipment. Delivery windows tied to an install schedule, OFCI and CFCI handled without a surprise on who buys the truck.
LTL and partials
A few pallets quoted by the same desk that quotes your truckload. Accessorials named up front, and partials consolidated onto our own trailers when the lane works out.
Deck heights and legal weights,
before you ask for them.
If the load will not clear on a flatbed, or it is over 80,000 lb, or it needs two zones, that is a conversation to have while it is still a drawing.
53’ refrigerated van
Continuous set point, download at delivery. Multi-temp available where a load needs two zones.
53’ dry van
Air-ride, swing or roll door. Drop trailers on recurring lanes once the dock rhythm is known.
Tarps, coil racks, chains and edge protection called out on the tender, not at the dock.
53’ step deck
The workhorse for machinery that will not clear on a flatbed. Ramps for rolling freight. Where the piece is taller still, an RGN or lowboy drops the deck to roughly 18 to 24 inches, arranged per load.
For receivers a 53-foot trailer cannot legally or physically reach. Liftgate and dock-height options on urban and final-mile legs.
Authority, insurance, permits,
and how a claim is handled.
Anything below with a bracket is a placeholder until it is confirmed in writing. We would rather show the gap than invent a number.
Authority and bond
Skyline Transport Group is an asset-based carrier and property broker: our own fleet runs under our carrier authority with a Satisfactory FMCSA safety rating, and brokered freight is arranged under the broker authority. The disclosure is in the footer of every page because the regulation requires it, and because you should know whose bond stands behind the load.
Insurance and cargo coverage
Carrier limits are checked against the value of the freight in front of us, not against a blanket minimum. On high-value loads we ask for a higher limit or a shipper’s-interest policy, and say so in the quote, not after a claim.
Permits, escorts and route
Oversize permits are quoted from the actual route, with the lead time stated before you commit to a delivery date. Limits and escort rules are read at the issuing department per route; we do not guess at them, and neither should a broker.
Claims and exceptions
The set point, the securement, the download and the signed BOL are collected as a matter of course, so when a receiver rejects there is a record, not a reconstruction.
